UEBOS DE ARTE

WINTER SOLO EXHIBITION AT FUNDACIÓN BLACK COFFEE GALLERY

DECEMBER 08 2022 – FEBRUARY 28 2023 · ZAPOPAN, MÉXICO

Óleogram, is pleased to present the winter solo exhibition by Ayrton Miranda at Fundación Black Coffee Gallery.

In this fun and unexpected collection conceived during The Great Seclusion, the exhibition takes us across a selection of fifty-three pieces on a journey through art history, that leads us to reflect on our heroes and anti-heroes, our idols and inspirations, all expressed through "cartoonish" parodies/portraits portrayed on an ordinary and unexpected medium... the eggshell.

The egg as the most common object in our homes, takes on new life through art; art created from simple elements with the intention that they resonate in our memory as pieces arising from the fusion between our thoughts and the elements that we had available and at hand during confinement.

The Spanish word “uebos”, an archaism derived from the Latin “opus”, is defined as a necessity or necessary thing. What the artist, through this collection, invites us to reflect on... is that we all have Uebos de arte!.

Uebos de Arte has as protagonists not only characters from classical art and history, but also the characters from your own story!.

" What makes this exhibition so unique is the artist's ability to transform something as simple and delicate as an eggshell into a work of art. Each piece is a testament to the artist's skill and creativity, and a celebration of the beauty that can be found in unexpected places. "

Ayrton Miranda's (Tepic, 1994) artistic production develops from different angle points that range from daily life and personal, to the exceptional and unusual, passing through popular culture. His work presents an approach focused on experiences that the viewer must perceive.

Through his work —which includes painting, sculpture, drawing, installation, and design—, Ayrton Miranda develops a constant commitment to fine arts and design, managing to reveal a unique emotional dimension in each of his works. His paintings articulate a review of the tradition inherited from the 20th century avant-garde while building patterns of interaction with the experience of the moment. His sculptures go through the use of a variety of objects, sometimes extremely common, that come to challenge the traditional ways of artistic creation.

In parallel, Ayrton Miranda explores through his passion for design, the creation of furniture, products and experiences of exquisite performance, inspired by the intersection between the arts, industry, science and technology.

Ayrton Miranda studied plastic arts at the Nayarit State School of Fine Arts from 2002 to 2012 while developing his artistic and creative skills in various fields of art and design. In 2021 he graduated from the School of Design at the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Guadalajara. In 2019 he debuted at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in the city of Milan, Italy, as part of the select group of global designers at the twenty-first edition of SaloneSatellite.
